NEWCASTLE, WEST HAM EYEING NEW KAKA

The Premier League duo of West Ham United and Newcastle United are eyeing a move forSao Paulo attacking midfielder Igor Gomes according to the report from media outletHomme Du Match. It was reported that Newcastle United and West Ham United sent scouts to Brazil this summer to watch Gomes in action.

23-year-old Gomes has been labelled the new Kaka. The Sao Paulo star can play anywhere in midfield in addition to the attacking midfield position. The new Kaka was a serious target for North London side Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but it didn't end in a transfer. Gomes can play out wide, as an anchor, box to box and as a 10.

Apart from new Kaka, Newcastle United and West Ham United have also watched Brazilian midfielder Danilo in action this summer. Danilo is on the payroll of Palmeiras in the Brazilian top flight. The 21-year-old is a slightly more recognisable name in comparison with Gomes and he has also been called up to the Brazilian national team by manager Tite. He's a specialist holding midfielder who has played more than a century of games for Palmeiras.
West Ham United and Newcastle United are not the only Premier League teams interested in Danilo, he has also been linked with a move to Arsenal. He has four years left on his current deal with Palmeiras. Arsenal sporting director Edu has a very good knowledge of Brazilian football and Danilo is a quality player if Edu is keen on making a move for him. The former Arsenal midfielder thinks Daniloia ready for Premier League football. Unlike Danilo, new Kaka ‘Igor Gomes’ is a very versatile midfielder and this could prove to be very useful for any Premier League club who takes a chance on him. He's more versatile than compatriot Danilo.
