Arsenal and Manchester City are monitoring a potential move for Real Madrid starlet Bruno Iglesias, according to reports. The 18-year-old playmaker has impressed at youth level and has even been compared to former Real Madrid and Brazil icon Kaka.

It comes as the Gunners ’ focus on youth ramps up, with a number of youngsters already making their mark in the first-team in the past year. This is something that has been outlined by Mikel Arteta as far back as last April, where he discussed the importance of his youth players stepping up. It provides a potential launchpad for the Gunners to use going into next season, with a huge summer ahead of them in the transfer window.
One player who Arsenal are said to be monitoring is Real Madrid’s Iglesias, with Manchester City also interested in the youngster, according to Goal. The 18-year-old was named in the NXGN 50 best wonderkids for 2022, having impressed at youth level.
The attacking midfielder reached double figures for goals and assists in the Under-19s and has since been tipped to make a first-team debut for Los Blancos some time this year. Iglesias has also been compared to former Real Madrid and Brazil icon Kaka, with him tipped to do big things. Arsenal are willing to continue their rebuild this summer and they are expected to make a few more signings as they look to finish the season in the top four and qualify for the Champions League next season.
