KAKA WOULD LOVE AC MILAN TO SIGN TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR DEFENDER TANGANGA

According to a report by Italian publication Corriere della Sera, Japhet Tanganga is the subject of interest from Inter Milan over a possible move in the summer transfer window. The Tottenham Hotspur defender is also a target for Serie A champions AC Milan.

Japhet Tanganga has been with Tottenham since joining their youth setup in 2009 as a ten-year-old. The English centre-back progressed through the ranks at the north London club before breaking into the first-team squad at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September 2019.

The 23-year-old has made slow progress since then, with injuries and poor form curtailing his growth to some extent. And with Antonio Conte not fancying him, a summer departure from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium seems to be on the cards. Serie A giants Inter Milan and AC Milan want to secure Tanganga’s services this summer.
The interest from AC Milan stems from the uncertainties surrounding the long-term future of Simon Kjaer. The Danish defender could depart from San Siro after dropping down the pecking order while recovering from a long-term injury. With Alessio Romagnoli leaving AC Milan to join Serie A rival Lazio, the Italian champions need to bring in a new centre-back.
Tanganga has thus emerged as a viable target for the Rossoneri, with the Tottenham centre-back reportedly keen on moving to San Siro. But the English defender could yet move to the Giuseppe Meazza while still not joining AC Milan, with Inter Milan joining the race to sign him.
Inter Milan might have to reluctantly delve into the market for a centre-back amid widespread reports linking Milan Skriniar with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. The Slovak was also a target for Tottenham at one point, but Chelsea or PSG will likely land him if he departs from San Siro. The former Serie A champions have thus set their sights on Tanganga. Kaka has revealed that he would love the defender to sign for AC, instead of Inter Milan.
