Kaka recently celebrated his birthday

Former AC Milan midfielder Kaka recently celebrated his birthday while being the captain of Orlando City FC.

This is certainly a new experience for the Brazilian midfielder since he has not been used to do to being captain of a team. However, his experience certainly makes him one of the best possible candidates for this position. At 33 years of age, Kaka has seen the lot at the top level of the game. He has won major league titles in Europe while also becoming the world Player of the Year in 2007. He still has a few years left in football, but Kaka says that the opportunity to lead Orlando City is a huge motivation for him.

Many have suspected that the Brazilian would struggle with this extra responsibility, but he says that it gives him great joy to be the player everyone on the pitch looks up to. The performances of the Brazilian have been extremely good so far. He has scored three goals in eight appearances, but Orlando City as a club have struggled to get results. They have managed just one win in the last five matches and it came in the 2-0 success over Portland Timbers. In the other matches, they have struggled to score goals.

“I am 33 years young, not 33 years old! Yes, this is another phase of my career, but my target is still to win with this team and be a part of the history of this club. I still have a lot of things to do [in this game] and I have a lot of life left, and I am really enjoying playing in another league and with new teammates. It is very nice when I can see all this on social media. It is something special to see all the birthday wishes from Milan, and also a lot of friends, teammates and former teammates,” said Kaka.
