Jurgen Klopp praises Arsenal teenager as a ‘talent of the century’

Martinelli was a relatively
unknown when he made the move to the Gunners during the summer and it was initially anticipated that he could join the development side. However, he made a strong impression during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States and that was sufficient for him to integrate with the seniors for the real campaign.

So far, Martinelli has been flawless with the displays in the Cup competitions and he could have reached double figures in terms of the scoring with some better composure. Still, he has much to prove in terms of the Premier League where he would be up against defenders, who are of better quality to what he has faced to date.

Arsenal are scheduled to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at home on Saturday
and Martinelli may have to stick to a bench role with Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe expected to make up the frontline. The forward could still be called from the bench, should Unai Emery opt to change the dynamics of the game.
