BACK ON FORM

Kaka returned to first-team action in the 1-1 draw for AC Milan with Barcelona in the Champions league. This was a great result for the Italian club considering that their form in the domestic league has not been that great. Kaka helped Milan get the 1-1 draw after providing the assist for Robinho, although his effort was cancelled by Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi later in the match. Kaka was signed from Real Madrid for a small fee in the summer. The Brazilian had grown frustrated with life at the Spanish club due to lack of first-team opportunities.

He was £ 64 million arrival at the Santiago Bernebeu from AC Milan in 2009. He has returned to the San Siro in order to recover his form that made him the world player of the year in 2007. This is especially important this season considering that the World Cup 2014 will be in Brazil. This could be the final international tournament for Kaka. He impressed a lot in the draw with Barcelona according to manager Massimiliano Allegri. Milan were expected to struggle in the match, but they coped admirably well against the Spanish club.

As a result of this draw, they are just two points main Barcelona in the group. Celtic are two points behind them.

"Kaka has played an extraordinary game. He has proved what a champion he is. At certain times during the game he played in a different role and he did well. To be a champion, you not only have to prove it with your feet but also with your head," said Allegri. "It's never easy to play against Barca but I thought we did well against them. We are growing as a team and I think this Milan can become a strong group," said Kaka after the match.
