REAL WANT CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has said that he wants to win the Champions League next season. Real Madrid have finally achieved the task of getting the title back from Barcelona, but they faced Champions League elimination once again.

Real Madrid are the most celebrated club in the Champions League having lifted the famous trophy nine times in the illustrious history. They are looking for their 10th final appearance and also the 10th trophy. However, they were eliminated on penalties by Bayern Munich in the semifinals. Now that they have recaptured the league title, Iker Casillas is already looking forward to winning the Champions League next season with José Mourinho.

José Mourinho has already won the Champions League twice in his illustrious managerial career. However, he will become the first coach to win the famous trophy with three different teams if he manages to do the same with Real Madrid next season. Iker Casillas was part of the Real Madrid team that won its last Champions League title back in 2002. The 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in the midweek helped Real Madrid seal the title. It was their 32nd league title in the history, but Iker Casillas has said that he wants more.

"It has been a long and hard season, but it's time to celebrate now. We have made another step forward compared to last term. The next objective is the Champions League. We want to win that next season. I dedicate this title to all the Madridistas who dreamed of winning the Liga. It was very difficult to beat a team like Barcelona, but we have done it. Our Champions League exit still hurts, but we want to enjoy this success now," Casillas stated to reporters after the win over Athletic Bilbao, which rendered Barcelona's 4-1 win over Malaga null and void.
