Kaka has slowly been influential in the Orlando City team

Kaka has slowly been influential in the Orlando City team after a mediocre start to his life in the MLS. Much has been expected from the former world Player of the Year in the 2015 campaign.

Even though a number of high-profile names like Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard will be joining the league during this period, it is from Kaka that most of the performances are being expected. This is despite the fact that the Brazilian has not been at his top for several years now. He has been blighted by many career threatening knee injuries since 2010 and this was a major reason behind his Real Madrid departure.

A run of four matches without a victory was finally brought to an end in the most emphatic manner, as Orlando City managed to overrun their opponents LA Galaxy in a recent league outing. The home team managed a 4-0 victory and it will give them a lot of confidence going into the month of May. Kaka says that the team has been putting a lot of effort into ending the poor form and it is good to see the efforts being rewarded with this brilliant result. LA Galaxy may be out of form this campaign, but they still remain a top team nonetheless.

"I can't lie to you and say things weren't getting uncomfortable with this lack of a home victory. We lost two games that we dominated, and that was quite frustrating because the goals came in the dying minutes. So the way we behaved against Galaxy was encouraging. There's a work for us to do, but that game showed us our work is starting to pay off. One thing I noticed here is that the likelihood of any team beating the other is much higher than anywhere else I've played,” said Kaka.
