KAKA BACKS REAL IN CL

Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has said that there is every possibility that the club can do well in the Champions League this season.

Real Madrid has been disappointing in the Champions League in the last decade, as they have failed to make even an appearance in the final of the competition during this time.

This season, however, will be different according to midfielder Kaka. Real Madrid have entered into the quarter-final stage of the competition after having won all but one game up until now. They won the sixth group matches without exception. They have drawn against CSKA Moscow in the first leg of their last 16 round between the two clubs.

Kaka fully expects Real Madrid to progress from this position given that they will be facing the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu. Kaka also spoke of his admiration for his former club AC Milan, who was one of the favourites to reach the final at the Allianz Arena in May according to the midfielder. Kaka has been on the road to come back this season. He has formed a great partnership with German midfielder Mesut Ozil in the centre of Real Madrid's midfield in the season. Kaka also praised the impact of manager José Mourinho by saying that he is one of the best managers he has so far worked under during his career.

"We have seen that some big teams are already through. I think that AC Milan and Barcelona have great chances of reaching the final. But I think that Madrid have a good chance of doing something big in the Champions League. We are confident we can reach the last eight, always respecting CSKA and knowing that they can create us a lot of trouble," Kaka told AS. Kaka has played
